Modeled after a psychological study report or scientific publication, I test Goethe’s proposal that color
preference can reflect aspects of an individual’s personality. By first forming methods and procedures to
calculate the proportions of color found in my Facebook, iPhone, and Instagram photo archives, I then used
these numbers to self-administer four color-based personality tests: a control test based on true personal
preference, one from my Facebook data, one from my iPhone data, and one from my Instagram data.
This lab report documents the procedures and results of my study, visualizing data through figures and tables
and representing the three digital photographic archives through colorized inventories.
