Stephen Dunn, Head of Technology Strategy, Guardian News and Media
The Guardian, which accommodates more than 3 million devices daily across the network of digital services, see themselves as not just a publisher but also a platform.
The Guardian launched their Open Platform 2009 which opened up access to developers to develop on the Guardian platform via their API's. Guardian has had an explosion of apps over the last few months, they're on kindle, iphone, ipad, nokia smartphones etc but this is just the start! As well as providing their content, the Guardian have recruited a network of bloggers and are engaging with a wider range of journalists, partners, advertisers and sponsors through their API's to revolutionise their business model.
