In the far distant future a group of human-like people discovers an artifact that will forever change the way they look at their world.
One of the most ambitious short films ever in last years in Italy, “Bare Hands - Nude Mani” will be shot using four animatronics creatures developed by Destiny Industries based in Verona, Italy. The film will be directed by Ettore Biondo, freelance illustrator, who will also be the art director, and Antonio Palmieri, compositing artist and editor for commercials and broadcast.
The film is based on the short story “Bare Hands” (“Nude Mani”) by Francesco Troccoli, Italian science fiction author, which appeared on the first issue of the Italian Magazine “Altrisogni”. The supervisor of the animatronics will be Terence Popolo Rubbio (destinyindustries.com/), whose credits include Gremlins, Independence day, Men in black, X-files, Rome, Gangs of New York and Apocalypto.
The short will have 3D digital sets built by Ciro Sannino (grafica3dblog.it/) and Carmine Di Feo (rhinoblog.it/), two of the most important 3D rendering experts in Italy.
