Mustafa Farhad is a New York based artist whose work focuses on concepts of the hidden and the manifest, the continuous unfolding of knowledge and light from imaginal realms, countering the otherwise transient nature of daily human experiences. He creates mixed-media installations and environments that leverage light, image, sound, found objects, electronics and interactivity. He is the creative director of LES Foundry and the founder of OPENSPACE Nomadic Gallery + Art Collective. He is also creative director for MOLH Archive Foundation.
With the theme of “Living Creatively on the East End,” 10 members of the community are invited to present 20 slides at 20 seconds each, yielding six minutes and 40 seconds per presenter. This is a great opportunity to establish new relationships, learn about local resources, and hear from the many artists, writers, musicians, gardeners, farmers, baymen, winemakers, chefs, designers, architects, and other creative professionals who comprise our region.
