In 2012, four groups participated in Alternative Spring Break (ASB) serving in Phoenix, AZ; New Orleans, LA; Wheeling, WV and Boston, MA.
The Phoenix group served with The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and Andre House focusing on issues of homelessness, hunger and extreme poverty.
The New Orleans group served with the St. Bernard Project assisting with the continued rebuilding efforts since Hurricane Katrina.
The Wheeling group served with the Laughlin Memorial Chapel focusing on extreme poverty in the Appalachian area and learning about the impact of the coal mining industry on the economy and environment.
The Boston group served with Cradles to Crayons with a focus on children in poverty.
