Soccer is Brazil’s national passion; Matches are followed on TV and passionate fans pack stadiums to chant their team’s anthems.
This passion has no age or gender and is lived also in the streets.
Street soccer games are formed everywhere and anywhere and every child raised in this country has participated, even if only as a spectator, in a street match.
Street matches have no rules; they can be played anywhere, with as many players on each side as desired. The size of the field can vary and a soccer ball is not indispensable.
The Rule of the game is a film about transgression; a short that, through a street match illustrates Brazilian’s love for soccer but also its irreverence and joy on not following rules by creating new ones.
