Patternity have joined forces with iconic knitwear specialists Chinti and Parker in an exciting new collaboration for Autumn Winter 2013. Combining Patternity’s award-winning pattern exploration and designs with Chinti and Parker’s timeless shapes and commitment to sustainable style, the collection serves as a mutual celebration of pattern, its inspiring presence within our everyday environments and its ability to positively engage us.

The 28-piece collection in black, navy, mint and cream sees Patternity remix Chinti and Parker’s signature stripes and dots across a range of simple tee, dress, sweater and cardigan styles for pieces that strike an artful balance of and cutting-edge vision.

The collection also introduces bold gridded patterns and tessellated geometrics. Whether applied as continuous pattern, enlarged and abstracted or reduced to a subtle outline, they demonstrate Patternity’s innovative eye, a point that is complemented yet further by Chinti and Parker’s confidence in
creating elegant, pared-back garment shapes with enduring appeal.

Patternity is an award-winning creative organisation that specialises in the exploration and application of pattern. Founded in 2009 by art director Anna Murray and surface/ textiles designer Grace Winteringham as a platform to share their united drive to push the awareness of pattern, the Patternity research archive, design studio and educational events use pattern as a vehicle to blur boundaries and to tell important stories
about the world in which we live.

Patternity have won a prestigious Wallpaper* interior design award, been featured in Vogue, The Independent and the New York Times. Their online pattern resource was cited by the Telegraph in October 2012 as one of the world’s ‘Top 10 most influential Style Blogs’ and Voted 6th by Wallpaper* magazine’s 20 ‘Best things on the web’.

Cousins Anna Singh and Rachael Wood launched Chinti and Parker in October 2009 with a clear mission: to create beautiful, ethically made garments that value style on par with substance. Super soft fabrics, flattering cuts and a palette that combines key neutrals with fashion conscious colourways and prints has become the brand’s blueprint, providing the building blocks of the perfect capsule wardrobe. Previous collaboratorions include cult fashion emporium Colette, and exclusive lines for Net-a-Porter and Matches.
