This video is the result of my experiments on new ways to coalesce images and videos. Through the dynamic superposition is possible to give to a still photograph a character of movement and evolution. Furthermore the "interfusion" of different images enlivens something similar to free association processes that create thoughts and stories in the mind of the viewer.
The effects are implemented using only self developed programs coded in MatLab. The images are randomly taken from a set of photos previously chosen and then mixed using non-linear time-dependent functions. The programs automatically generate several segments of animation. Some of these are then chosen "by hand" and mounted in the final sequence.
The encoding of the frames is made using mplayer/mencoder (mplayerhq.hu).
