When we think about our health, we’re more apt to think about preventing cancer and heart disease, not bone health. The Osteoporosis Society of Canada states that one in four women over the age of 50 has osteoporosis, a thinning of bone tissue and the loss of bone density over time. This can cause the bones to become brittle and fracture more easily.
