During the 2012-2013 season DeSalvo was one of only six Falcons to play in all 41 games during the season and ranked first on the team with a career-best 20 assists, marking the first Falcon to reach the 20-assist plateau since 2008-09 (Dan Sexton). He was ranked second on the team with 25 points, tying a career best and was one of only five Falcons to reach the 20-point plateau. He finished the season with a plus-4 on-ice rating and committed 15 penalties, earning 30 penalty minutes on the season. DeSalvo opened the season with assists in back-to-back games Niagara (10/6/12) and Union (10/12/12) and recorded the first two-assist game of his career against Colgate (10/20/12)...registered an assist and was +2 with two blocked shots against OSU (10/27/12)...scored a goal and added two assists against FSU (11/16/12) for his highest point total of the season...recorded two assists against Alaska (12/8/12)...assisted on Brent Tate’s first career goal against Canisius (1/6/13)...recorded a goal against No. 5 Notre Dame in a 4-2 Falcon win (1/15/13)...recorded an assist against No. 6 Miami (1/25/13)...recorded an assist in OT win against Ferris State on (2/15/13)...earned two assists against Notre Dame (3/1/13)...Scored two goals and added an assist in the Falcons 7-0 win over Lake Superior (3/10/13).
