Riding my new Vitess Red and sporting the new Real Deal Racing/Labiciclette kit and gladiator shield, I rode the Good Friday race on April 6, 2012 out in the Hamilton area. I say gladiator shield because it was an all out battle to stay upside with all the bumping and wheel bashing going on. Luckily, there was only one crash - there could have been many more. I look at it as good practice for racing in Europe this summer.
Other than that, it was a pedestrian pace in the peliton without any attacks the entire race. I got caught in the pack during the final sprint, which made for a 23rd placement overall.
