In the final session of the workshop, Session 7: Decadal Survey Stewardship: The Role of the Mid-decade Reviews and Standing Committees, panelists discussed how to incorporate long-term stewardship into the decadal surveys, decision rules to provide program flexibility in the face of programmatic challenges, the role of the mid-decade reviews, what type of preparatory work can be done prior to commencement of a survey, and "orphan" disciplines (e.g., biological and physical sciences in space).
Following the panel, Space Studies Board Chair Charles Kennel provided concluding remarks where he gave his take on what he heard over the course of the two day workshop.
