This split-screen road movie depicts alternate views over the English-Scottish border. Both views look towards the border whilst travelling on opposing sides.
I spent the first 25 years of my life in Scotland, the latter years in England. I have Scottish lineage and a kids born in England. I question this line and wonder how it can be so authoritative. Surely it's more of a feathered edge with nationality bleeding out onto either side.
Equally the landscape has no such prejudice. Geographic formations assist the border but they do not insist on it.
I should state that this is an attempt to visualise my opinion.
