Commencement speaker at Saint Martin's University 2010
grew up in eastern Washington and graduated from Pateros High School. At Saint Martin’s, she majored in English with an emphasis on creative writing and journalism and is graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She was a member of both the Society of Fellows and Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. During her four years here, she wrote for the student newspaper The Belltower, volunteered as a Youth Leader, and competed for the track and cross country teams. Her career goals include using the written word to reach youth with a message of faith and inspiration. She hopes to continue the passions she cultivated while at Saint Martin’s by pursuing publishing of her writing projects, working with junior high and high school students in a church or classroom setting, and achieving the ultimate runner’s goal: finishing a marathon.
