On the afternoon of September 4th, 2011 a wildfire spread through Bastrop, Texas. Before it was contained, it consumed 34,000 acres and 1,600 homes. It also destroyed 95% of Bastrop State Park and 12 million cubic feet of trees. As of October 31st, Texas Baptist Men Chain Saw Crews have cleared the dead trees around 241 homes. TBM Feeding Units have also fed firefighters over 18,000 meals.
