Bazooka's life was taken by a passing car on Sunday the 28th of October. He is terribly missed. He arrived out of the blue along with Bijou in the beginning of this year, and in April he got wounded. I took him to the vet and he had to stay indoors for a week. All went surprisingly well and he got along with the dogs from the start. The other two feline residents needed a little more time to warm up to a tomcat in their home. As he began to heal, he also started wailing in front of the door or window. He wanted to go back out. May 1 was his first day back outside again, and I followed him with a camera.
Bazooka has been very helpful raising the 3 kittens and he was a dominant but gentle member of our pack. It's very sad such a friendly little person was taken away so violently, only a few meters from the house. The first morning without Bazooka, I looked out of the bathroom window from where I can see my garden and where I buried him. There was a rainbow hovering over the garden. As if a manifestation of the Rainbow Bridge...
That moment emphasized an abundance of love, affection and respect.
Sweet sweet Bazooka, you will always be my special little fella and never forgotten.
