Serrated hard rock meets the Wild West. It all just seemed to fit - Headstones/Tombstones, untamed country/untamed music. The perfect blend of action, romance and a thumpin' good sound. Silent film has always held a special appeal for me, plus it's legally accessible. I'm fascinated to see how much the world has changed, and yet, how much actually remains the same. I needed to comb through a large amount of footage to create a more or less complete story that would play out in just over 3 minutes. The images had to complement both the forward momentum of the music and the obscure lyrics. It goes without saying that I'm a big fan of The Headstones. I should note here that I did obtain a legal opinion on the copyright for the 1916 film footage and consulted with The Headstone's management firm in the process of creating this video. All sources are credited within the video itself. To quote the representative at Bernie Breen Management "This can do nothing but help the band." So, please, enjoy the ride!
