This INCREDIBLY detailed tutorial will walk you through the basics of creating an advanced ocean shader from scratch in Cinema 4D. You'll learn about many of the texture channels, stacking effect shaders, using layers, fresnel, etc... From there, you'll see how to get realistic rolling waves that you can actually attach objects to so they float and bob up and down on the water.
