Meet Jacinta as she explains the role of the family/whanau coordinator. This role is to make sure that the family/whanau or caregivers of children, young people and adults with an intellectual disability are supported.
As a coordinator, you will work as part of a team. But will you also work one-on-one with people with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers. That means visiting families at home, and at our bases where we offer day activities. You will also provide support to assigned IDEA Services staff.
You will have the ability to relate well to people, be able to manage your time and be resilient.
