SYNOPSIS: This video is a collaborative performance between VJ Tekno Mandala (Adem Jaffers) and Stelarc. It was originally created for and broadcasted live during the Cyberthon II event 1992. The approach to this piece was to not blot out Stelarc and his unique 3rd Arm performance with unneccessary extra visual distraction. But instead keeping the output vision as clean as possible whilst still having some creative license with experimenting visually with Stelarc himself 'as' the feature vision. A constant theme of symmetry throughout on one of the camera streams, whilst mixing in an asymetric version of the same camera footage was employed. Keeping Stelarc (generally) visually centered on the screen mix throughout performance to reveal his full body cyborgian setup. Due to the time consuming nature of setting up the audio component of Stelarc's performance, the audio heard on this mix is actually a pre-recording of one of his previous performances. It was edited by his long time audio engineer Rainer Linz. Camera was operated by Steve Firman. This performance piece has been named post-event by me as Body Mandala.
