Rachael Scahill, Ph.D., made this presentation at the sixth World Congress on Huntington's Disease, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, September 16, 2013. Dr. Scahill obtained a degree in zoology from Oxford University and after an MSc in computing she undertook a Ph.D. at the UCL Institute of Neurology in the application of MRI to the study of familial Alzheimer’s disease. Since 2008 she has worked with Professor Sarah Tabrizi, leading her image analysis team on the TRACK-HD and TrackOn projects. Dr. Scahill is interested in the development of novel tools for the analysis of neuroimaging scans to further our understanding of the natural history of Huntington’s disease as well as identifying biomarkers for use in clinical trials. She is a member of the European Huntington's Disease Network Imaging, Juvenile HD and Neuroprotective Working Groups.
