Scott Gibbs and his KPIX “Evening Magizine“ crew are in the process of shooting a video tour of the Winchester House in San José, CA. The hosts are Steve Fox and Jan Yanihiro.
This March 1977 project is within the first year of “Evening Magizine“, and the equipment they are using is a bit primative, although ours is even more so.
For you techies, this was done in the late seventies. The original footage was shott with a Sony Porta-Pac with a wideangle lens, recorded on open-reel EIAJ half-inch videotape, transferred to two inch quad tape, and then edited quad to quad. AND… there was only one channel of audio. So, the voiceovers are rolling wild off of a quarter inch audio tape player.
