winter temps were struggling to retain their grasp on the alaska range as we touched down in the ruth and began the trek up to the spectacular mooses tooth massif. several teams had been putting in their time pushing the route upwards, but deep snow had barred progress, and the peak remained unclimbed for the season. upon our arrival the route began to shed some of its snow, and within a day we were gearing up to send in one of the most awe inspiring alpine arenas in the world.
