A short story about Mr. Keijiro Doi, named Master Blacksmith by Japan’s Minister of International Trade in 2011, and a Living National Treasure by the Japanese government. Mr. Doi's long-lasting knives are sold to sushi chefs at the most expensive restaurants in Tokyo, to American star chefs such as Thomas Keller and collectors all around the world. The Doi family has been knife makers for more than 200 years, but this legacy is about to end.
