The Minneapolis Institute of Art is proud to present the Minneapolis Satellite Reef, part of the Institute For Figuring’s worldwide Crochet Coral Reef project.
The world’s largest participatory art and science project, the IFF’s Crochet Coral Reef project combines mathematics, marine biology, environmental consciousness raising and community art practice. More than 7,000 people have helped to make these gorgeous woolen seascapes, which have been exhibited around the world.
Organized by Mia and created by the community, the Minneapolis Satellite Reef will be exhibited at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization Community Facility (MWMO) from August 24 to September 30, 2015.
