This is the third installment in a series called Homework*. Please let me know your opinions of the quality of the video.
DVinfo.net has a resource for downloading Presets to use with the Canon XH series cameras.
This video uses the preset PANALOOK (PRESET18.CPF). This particular preset is Steven Dempsey's preffered setting which accurately emulates the DVX100. You can find it on DVinfo.net. I did alot of CC however for style sake so keep that in mind.
This video is also a project I was inspired to do by the fibro twins:
vimeo.com/thefibrotwins. They have done a few films for the Nine Inch Nails Ghosts Film Festival. Nine Inch Nails is actually my favorite band, and as soon as this album came out I wanted to take part in the festival. Unfortunately other projects took priority so I never got around to it until now.
The project idea called for using any one of the songs from this album, ghosts.nin.com, and making a video. Make it anything you want, just make sure to use the song. I decided to go the abstract route with this one. Let me know what you think.
Camera: Canon XH-A1, 30f, HDV
Preset: PANALOOK (PRESET18.CPF)
Editing and CC: Premiere Pro CS3
Music: Nine Inch Nails, Ghost I-IV, Track 9
Update: After getting some feedback, I decided to add a little bit more vignetting and roughed edges to the piece. I think i may end up doign a little bit more in AE to add to this piece, but let me know what you think of the updates. :)
