Amisha Gadani is an artist interested in curious creatures and their
unique adaptations; from swarming behaviors and elegant defense
mechanisms, to superorganisms and animals of the deep sea. Through
her drawings, videos, and kinetic wearables, she aims to inspire
curiosity in her hand-picked wonders of the world.
She received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, worked in science education and exhibit development at the Exploratorium Museum in SF, and currently works remotely as artist researcher for the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon as well as artist in resident and web developer for the UCLA lab of Dr. Michael Alfaro in Los Angeles.
