Yes, Yes I Am

"Yes, Yes I Am" is a moving picture poem. It tells the story of a Daughter’s discovery of a narrative for the complex parental tributaries that compose her being. With her internal dialog made visual and voiced by the character of Double Helix, Daughter crosses through the crisis of her mother’s decline. She comes to understand her mother’s courageous gift allowing for “a daughter not her, and not a redo” while exploring the broader question of how the stories that surround us do, or do not, speak for us.
