For me creativity comes in many shapes and forms, so it cannot be restricted only to advertising. So, around five years ago I conceived and shot my first ad film for ‘Save water’ a national creative contest, and won it.
That’s when I discovered my passion for filmmaking. From then on there was no looking back. Since then I have independently worked on ad films, short films and television promos. My first short film ‘Analogue’ has got screening and reviews from many over sea’s festivals including New York short film festival. This accolade also made me a speaker, as a debutant film maker at NIIT. My experimental film for Cupid Condoms made me win a national creative contest called the ‘Uncannies’ and took me to Cannes Lions festival in 2009, where incidentally I picked the first metal for the country.
I have become an independent director since 2010. A director, who would prefer not to categorise himself to a particular kind of films, but keep experimenting and do great creative work on every opportunity and every category possible. Thus, I have worked on Mcdonalds, Cadbury’s éclairs’, Sony Mix, Taj London, Vodafone Kenya, Shopperstop etc. to name a few. My ambition is to be known as a director who is ready to accept the challenge of turning great advertising ideas in to memorable films.
