Bateira developed the visuals for the Bubble Channel from Pro Quote Regie, (Association of Female Film Directors in Germany) during the Berlinale 2015. At the end of 2014, she created all artistic visual and sound work for the International Festival Voicing Resistance at Studio я from Maxim Gorki Theater. She is currently working on a one-hour creative documentary with the footage recorded.

Patrícia Bateira is a Portuguese author, filmmaker, visual and sound artist currently based in Berlin. She studies Communication and Film in England (Univ. Of Westminster, London School of Communication), in Denmark (European Film College), in Portugal (Film Direction with the German Academy for Film and Television Berlin under the Calouste Gulbenkian's Art und Artistic Creation Programme) and in Germany (Skript Akademie Berlin). She writes and directs the short fiction films A Simple Funeral (2011), Frequent Traveller (2007) which was acquired by Canal Plus (France) and Wolfe Video (California, USA), Stigma (2000) and Pollen (2000), awarded best fiction prize at Ovarvídeo Festival 2001 in Portugal. She writes and directs for RTP Television (Channel 2) the documentary films Indonesia - The Other Face (2003) and Chronicle from a Rising Nation (2002).
Bateira creates the video art projects The Newborn (2014), To Live or Let Die (2014), ecography of a heartbeat (2013), Hungry Eye (2011) and Two Rivers (2003). Under the pseudonym Natürlich, she composes the music for most of her projects and also creates the sound installations Two Sides for Every Story (2011) and Step Up (2014) both presented in Berlin.
Apart from her film making career, Bateira collaborated closely with many artists including Pedro Sena Nunes, Patrícia Portela, Rui Xavier, Sílvia Firmino and Connie Walther in their international award winning projects that include documentary, theater performances, short and feature fiction films.
As a performer, visual and sound artist, Bateira toured stages in Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Greece.
