Former Minnesotan working on becoming Coloradoan.
I love pretty much everything that involves playing outside. I spent my first winter in Colorado learning how to snowboard. (I'm basically a shred queen.) I just ran my first high altitude half marathon. I make a killer campfire pizza. And, I'm working on getting over my irrational fear of mountain lions by hiking as much mountain territory as possible this season.
I received my master's in photojournalism from Boston University and my bachelor of arts in studio art from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. For my photographic work I have received multiple grants and fellowships including a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant and the OverExposure emerging documentary photographer fellowship. While my half-marathon time is nothing to brag about -- I can set up my tent in under 60 seconds.
