On September 21, 2012, on the International Day of Peace, hundreds of organizations worldwide will join together to create one of the largest synchronized global prayers and meditations for peace in history.
Designed collaboratively by the Gaiafield Project, Pathways to Peace, the Summer of Peace, the Institute of HeartMath, and MedMob, Be the Peace! will feature public prayer and meditation events in over 380 cities worldwide with thousands of virtual participants via teleconference/audio webcast. The public events will start at 6:00 pm in local timezones, creating a profound wave of peace around the planet.
There will also be three specific times during the day when everyone around the world will connect at the same time. These Global Attunements for Peace will be held via teleconference/audio webcast at 12am, 12 noon and again at 12 midnight EDT, creating three deep, planetary pulses of peace. Be the Peace will also feature a Global Care Room, in which people around the world will ‘see’ each other as points of light on a spinning Google Earth map, providing a real-time visual image of the emerging global field.
Be the Peace welcomes people from every culture, every spiritual tradition, and every political perspective to come together in a profound experience of Global Oneness. The event builds on a thirty-year tradition of a Planetary Peace Wave on September 21. It aims to strengthen an ever-growing global network of ‘subtle activists’ committed to developing internal peace and creating a foundation for a global culture of peace.
