I spent many fruitful years exploring various avenues of art and design disciplines and theory, studied Electronic Imaging at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, at the time the only art based Softimage 3D training in Europe.
After winning the Reel to Reel animation festival and a brief internship at Grand Theft Auto game makers DMA (Rockstar North) I went to Oxfordshire to work at AudioMotion, a state of the art motion capture and animation facility creating high-end game promo’s, advertisements and music promo’s.
Moving to London I worked for Condor Post-Production on a huge range of projects winning a Promax, Cannes Marketing and LEAF awards. I am currently at 64 Dean Street involved in it’s transformation from boutique animation studio (The Hive) into the multi-disciplined international Prime Focus. During this time I have worked with a range of talented clients, ***BBC, ITV, DDB, MTV, Disney, Impossible Pictures, Saatchi and Saatchi, Ingredient, RKCR/Y&R, Devilfish, DLKW, Brooklyn Brothers, to name a few***
This range combined with experience gives me a broad scope of skills covering a range of 3D disciplines, character animation including the BBC2 logo, puppetry, amazing heath robinson contraptions, robots and monsters. Simulation effects work using particle and ncloth dynamics systems. Modelling, texturing and lighting for motion graphic, stylized or realistic purposes. Editing and compositing using a variety of software and an expansive artistic vocabulary to draw upon through small or large scale projects, understanding and facilitating the clients brief and copy and pasting my CV into vimeo...
I then like a decent pint of cider....
And the occasional kebab.
