Melissa is an experienced cinematographer/stereographer. Her work as a cinematographer coupled with stereo expertise allows her a unique understanding of the challenges faced when creating a successful shoot. She offers insight into the technical requirements of a 3-D project, whilst importantly understanding the story or creative ideas to be conveyed.
Melissa work on features as a stereographer, include "Flying Monsters" with David Attenborough, the first 3-D film to ever win a BAFTA and "Jack the Giant Killer" Warner Bros. "The Foundling" recently won Best Short Fiction Narrative at the International 3D Society Awards in LA. She was Head Stereographer for Kylie Minogues' world tour "Aphrodite Les Folies" filmed live at the O2 bringing her creative approach into a live multi-camera environment. In addition she has worked with Chris Parks, Director of Vision3, as a stereo supervisor for the upcoming sci-fi special effects film "Gravity" directed by Alfonso Cuaron.
Melissa's 3-D experience and expertise have enabled her to co-ordinate and support varied projects both in the UK and internationally as a stereographer for Vision3. Her work for brands include Microsoft, Audi, Panasonic and Phillips, placing her at the forefront of 3-D commercial work in Europe.
As a cinematographer with a background in feature films she demonstrates professionalism, communication and collaboration. On Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride” she ran her own unit as a lighting camerawoman. As well as shooting drama and animation her commercial work features brands such as Orange, Pearl & Dean, Rowntree and Remington. Melissa adds prime time documentaries for both the BBC and Channel 4 to her range of credits, including the recent "Gods and Monsters" series presented by Tony Robinson.
