  2. The Heart of Vancity is a portrait of downtown Vancouver. I am always inspired by the city lights at night and tried to find new ways to show off the city's beauty. This entire film was shot during the winter months which made it very difficult to shoot because of all the rain! I am hoping to explore more of this fantastic city in the future as there are many locations left that I would love to shoot!

  3. How did our galaxy form, and and when did its neighbors arrive? We found all the dark matter halos in a simulation of the evolution of dark matter in the universe that had subhalos with speeds, distances and masses that matched the Magellanic Clouds, and then visualized one of them to show what the Milky Way's development may have been like. The Magellanic Clouds likely arrived together, recently!

  5. Compressed 01

Ferrous printer toner particles floating on the surface of water are attracted by a magnet and align to the invisible magnetic field around them. The patterns and motions that result are strangely ordered and organized.

Time-lapse sequences were created from individual photos shot with a Nikon D90, DIY macro lens and custom intervalometer. Edited with Adobe Premiere.

    Sound created with Ableton Live.
