1. The mission of Apple Arts is to nurture and support under-served youth through art education. With individual attention, adaptive programming, and an emphasis on imagination, we use art to inspire and lift the self-esteem of our youth. Our goal is to use the creative process to exchange ideas and work together towards change.

  3. The Blue Dot Project was made by youth from Apple Arts NYC, a non-profit arts organization, in collaboration with a team from Bartle Bogle Hegarty, a global advertising company. For four weeks the group worked together to create storyboards, make props, and direct their own movies. The only instruction was for each segment to start and end with a blue dot.
The film premiered on May 9, 2012 at The Maysles Cinema in Harlem, NYC.
