The Cotswold Falconry Centre houses many species of birds of prey, including falcons, owls, eagles, hawks, vultures, kites and many other exotic birds of prey from around the world. The centre is located in the Cotswolds, England, near Moreton-in-Marsh.
This short video was shot with a Sony Z1 camera and edited on Final Cut Pro. Audio is from a Rode shotgun microphone only, since the falconer was not miked up (I only decided to cut this piece after I saw the footage and realized there was some good visual material there!)
Been testing some old Canon FD (60-300mm, 28-90mm, 28-135mm) & Minolta MD (200mm) lenses on a Panny GH4 and lucky to have 3 hawks around... maybe mom, dad and baby... or at least one of them who seems to be awkward.... lands on thin branches and has less white on chest. Any birders know if the acrobatic flips and spirals are mating or teaching?
