TheSynapse – a web based portal for medical professionals, asked us to create an online advertising campaign for their new mobile application. They wanted to create an explainer animation video to promote the app, show how intuitive it is and encourage medical professionals to download it. After extensive research and development we came up with a visual style that appeals to the younger and tech savvy generation of medical professionals.
Gofor was shot with a combination of a C300, 5DMKIII, and a GoPro Hero+ on a Phantom I.
The mobile app interface for Gofor was created in Photoshop and either shot in camera, or replaced in post using Mocha and After Effects and the GreenScreen app for iPhone.
Gofor was written in Evernote.
Gofor is a future concept, designed largely as a semi-sequel to my first drone film "Our Drone Future". I was intrigued by the idea of designing a UI for a consumer drone interface; often the future UI's you see are so non-functional and clearly place aesthetics over any kind of real usability. I wanted to explore what a drone app UI would be like -- something that anyone could use, with obvious controls and intuitive functionality.
