We recently caught up with Nick Chavis at Cowell, Arkansas.
Nick said he has been working a bold line that was first established by Nalle Hukkataival a few years ago and he was going to send. This was a perfect situation to capture a long-awaited 3rd ascent, one we wouldn't miss and you didn't either!

Aquasolo is the story of a new route in the sea cliff of Capo Noli ( Finale Ligure, Italy) climbed during the summer 2014 by 2001 World Boulder Champion and E9 clothes owner Mauro Calibani.
The route name is "Di buono c’è che con l’innalzamento della temperatura terrestre prima o poi il livello del mare si alzerà anche qui" and it's due to the lack of deep water below. Local climbers during years choose not to bolt this line to preserve it for a real clean ascent and Mauro during a warm summer evening took the challenge climbing this 20 meters line with no rope or harness with a difficulty of 8a: a statement about his climbing philosopy to preserve rock.
Aquasolo is the first episode of Aspettando il Sole, an upcoming documentary about the history of climbing in Finale Ligure.
