Our 2nd test shot with the new Sony FS-700's slow motion ability. While really cool, we had some issues with the lights and 600fps so there is a bit of flicker on the wall but nothing you Pros cannot handle. This free stock footage of slow motion water pouring is exclusive to members of our Vimeo group and can not be found on any of our other sites.
Just a little video showing the end result of a tutorial I wrote for 3D Wolrd Magazine back in 2012. Ok, it’s not the actual result from the walkthrough as the theme of that issue was Sci-Fi, and the question was about deforming a wall. But since a slightly more common way of using a wave deformer is to deform a water surface, I just applied the ICE compound to a flat surface and rendered it.
The deformation is not simulated in any way, instead it’s all driven by a “simple” equation in ICE. For the full walkthrough please visit: http://caffeineabuse.blogspot.com/2014/07/build-your-own-shockwave-deformer-using.html
