  2. My first attempt in motorizing my India made IGUS slider. I was very lucky to find all the components I need. I got the PWM controller off Ebay and the high torque motor locally. Found a rubberized pulley that is used in factory automation in a recycling parts store and it proved to be great for providing enough traction to grip the braided nylon cord. Its still not perfect though, it stutters on a particular section and I think I know how to solve the problem, I suspect there is not enough traction on a single cord, I'm going to experiment to see if 2 nylon cords will provide enough traction. I'll be uploading the video taken by my 550D after I uploaded this one.
