For the 27th year running, Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska held it’s annual Project Impact. For one day, the school has no classes and encourages students to go out into our local community and serve. Students, faculty and staff weed, clean, paint, sort and in other ways help out agencies and organizations that serve this community year-round, such as libraries, shelters, soup kitchens and elementary schools. This year there were more than fifty sites and over 800 volunteers, a great turn out for a student body of 914 students. It’s the longest running collegiate volunteer event in the country with the highest percentage of student participation.
