This character's name is Russell and he is from the project "Bully" by Rockstar Games.
He was the boss character on first stage. Power fighter, not very smart. Big guy, so I emphasized on weight for his attacks. There was a lots of room for my pro wrestling passion to go nuts and applying wrestling moves. I got to work with good designer, buddy of mine Brian Yu who is currently working on God Of War 3 at Sony. Definitely had lots of fun working on this boss sequence.
Character Model was done by Tyler Wilson. Another good buddy of mine.
This is one of the character that I got to animate while I worked on Bully by Rockstar Games. He was knows as "Melvin" and belonged to Nerd Faction back then but I'm not quite sure if he is still in game when the game was released.
Awesome character design and was really fun to animate move sets for this character. Character setting was something like, "he carries his body surprisingly well for his body size".
Hand keyed animation, animated with Character Studio in 3DSMax. This is from the breakdance game prototype I worked on. I animated moves in segments and put them together with transitions and lots of tweaking.
Before this project, I had no knowledge of breakdance. I watched lots of video and even took breakdance class.
Last threading sequence is taken from Bboy Ronnie from Full Force Crew. He has amazing skill. Also, very animated interaction during battle and fun to watch.
