  2. Back in 1992 - yes, 20 years ago - I hosted a series for Rogers Community 10 subtly called "Independent Visions with Jim Shedden." The series featured full presentations of films in the collection of the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre, co-curated by Alexa-Frances Shaw and myself. The show was directed and produced by David Bailey. Being vain and knowing that I was probably the lamest television host of all time, I never looked at the series. Instead, U-Matic (3/4") copies of the tapes sat in storage in my house for two decades. I finally dug out the tapes, to find that I only had 4 of he 5 of them, but did manage to find a VHS set as well. With the help of Peter McCauley, they are now digitized and will be uploaded for your viewing pleasure. NOTE: if you are one of the filmmakers featured here, and you DO NOT want your film streaming in Vimeo in this context, please let me know and I will remove it. Thank you. (PS: It was a pleasure to look at everyone's work again!)
