He spoke of the burden Jonathan Daniels carried with him as the became involved after Dr. Martin Luther King called for clergy of all faiths from the North to get involved with the civil rights movement in Alabama. Jonathan Daniels was killed by a white, deputy sheriff, as he protected a young black girl from the buckshot that killed Jonathan Daniels.
