Luke 6 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
I Cor. 3 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Rev.21 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Our building is in partnership with God and we must take care to build knowing we are the junior partner in the partnership for our God is an awesome builder having built a magnificent city prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. The buildings of God are for God and founded on Christ. They are eternal, decorated, beautiful and glorious.
Proverbs 10 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more : but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
What does this mean...being in Christ gives us some rare benefits apart from His righteousness...we are an eternal foundation
