Luke 6 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Jesus declares so many things ... and says so much...the word of God is so rich in direction...and many call Jesus Lord...Twice means they emphasise the Lordship of Christ but they do not the things of Jesus?
Why will you call someone Lord, Saviour, deliverer and when He comes to deliver you...you ignore what he asks you to do. This is strange?
Jesus says people like this prepare for a great ruin when the storm comes ...This also is a warning for us to look at what is done in obedience to Christ as a measure of future stability.
Hebrews 12 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. We all have moments when we are discouraged and need encouragement or some assurance...when we feel defeated or imagine the work is useless or a mess ...when it looks like the house that is built does not seem to be standing...when the growth we expect is not coming...when God seems to be late...what do we do?
