With ace visuals, great scares, and clever concepts, RE-CYCLE, propels the Pang Brothers to the forefront of New Asian Horror with a highbrow horror film. The central performance by Lee Sinje (a.k.a. Angelica Lee) outshines her work in the Pang Brothers 2002 film THE EYE.
There is an alternate plane of reality parallel to our own, one that serves as a dumping ground for discarded and forgotten hopes, dreams, and desires.
Ting-yin (Lee Sinje) suffers from writer’s block while working on her second novel. To help her overcome this problem, her agent announces at a press conference that the author is working on a story about the supernatural. Ting-yin, a skeptic who knows nothing about the ghost world, decides to explore it first hand -- and gets drawn into this alternate reality.
She writes a draft based upon this experience, then discards it – only to find it back upon her desk. She then writes another draft, discards it – and is soon sucked into a surreal wasteland. Not sure if she’s trapped in her novel, or is actually lost within the underworld, she has the unique horror of being confronted with everything she has every thrown away in her life.
Like a post-apocalyptic ‘Alice in Wonderland’, RE-CYCLE is a horror-fantasy-thriller that leaves you reeling long after the credits roll.

"Burning Man – The Burning Sensation" will scorch your senses as it takes you into the heart of the Burning Man experience.
Each Summer, some 20,000+ souls make a pilgrimage to the Black Rock Desert to practice radical self-expression and self-reliance in a temporary, commerce-free community.
The world's largest venue for public art, Burning Man has elements of a Vegas acid trip, a nudist colony, a pyrotechnic convention, the Rose Bowl parade, a rave, the Museum of Modern Art, and a Mad Max movie dispersed over the 107 degree desert – at the end of which a 50-foot high, neon-lit, wooden effigy is burned, igniting a wild, tribal, all-night celebration. The film captures intense footage of several art events as well as interviews with Burning Man organizers Larry Harvey (also co-founder), Crimson Rose and Will Roger who explain how, what started in 1986 as an impromptu Summer Solstice celebration, put on by a few friends at a beach in San Francisco, has turned into a full-blown exercise in city planning and management with a hefty price-tag. This temporary city is the 6th largest in Nevada.
Some of the featured art events include "Burial In Space" by Woodpussy (a group of musicians and pyro-technicians who blast their deceased founder into space in a rocket of their own creation); "Nebulous Entity" and "Futura Deluxe" (two large, roving installation pieces engineered using mathematics derived from fields of neural networks, ecological systems and fractals); and a performance artist Dea Million who stages her "wedding" to America.
Something must be done to wipe out this ghastly menace.
This is the first film to fully inform the public of the dangers of habitual marihuana use. Parents are lectured during this cautionary tale on how easy is it for wayward students lured by pushers to fall prey to such tragic events as a hit and run accident, manslaughter, suicide, rape, and a descent into general madness.
The tale revolves around Mae and Jack, accomplices in the distribution of marihuana, who manage to entice local high school kids to stop by Mae's apartment to smoke reefer, where stoned ne'er-do-wells laugh fiendishly, dance, and play the piano.
Jack invites the clean-cut couple Bill and Mary, up to his den of sin. After one joint, Bill is hooked, and his life begins to plummet down the tubes. When Mary smokes, she begins giggling uncontrollably while being aggressively fondled by the bizarre addict Ralph. Bill bursts out of the bedroom to tangle with Ralph, prompting a string of calamitous occurrences, including several more deaths and courtroom sentences to mental institutions, all because of the devil weed.
