  2. Join Giovanni Bello on a tour of the world famous Monteverde Nature Reserve. If lucky, you'll hear the mating call of the exquisite Quetzal: wackala, wackala, wackala, designed to "impress you, ladies."

    Giovanni Bello is also attuned to flowers, but in the Dracula Orchid, he does not see a vampire, but instead a "white-face monkeyface."

    Later that day, a troop of white-faced capuchins were spotted swinging through the tropical trees on the UGA Costa Rica campus.

  4. Pura Vida, Spanish for "pure life," is Costa Rica's national greeting. It represents a respect for nature, for friends and good company, as well as an appreciation for life's mysteries, both simple and profound.

    In May of 2010, eleven students from the University of Georgia paid homage to Pura Vida in this documentary, integrating five cameras and fifty hours of footage during their three-week adventure.
