Painter, Gadfly, Performance Artist. Artist Jerome Caja 1958-1995 R.I.P. photos by Ric Warren. The Celebrated Painter used restaurant change trays as canvases on which he used Eye Make-Up and Nail Polish as his Medium. He redefined the saint painted icon into a strong but humorous comment on the Human Condition. He was an MFA Graduate of The San Francisco Art Institute, Artist, Waitress, Model, Gadfly, Mimic, Go-Go Dancer and much loved for his warmth and Kindness. Jerome was a joy to be around. He sparked the best part of peoples imaginations and left an indelible impression on the whole City of San Francisco during a time "the 1980's" when the Aids Crisis was at it's height. Jerome's sense of humor and Gorilla Style Performance Art tactics lifted spirits and reminded us all to be careful in love and keep our eyes wide open for the Art that is our lives. The images are set to music I put together.
